She kept flying by me when I was out back.
I finally realized she was making a nest.
See her tail?
I told her I wouldn't hurt her.
Then she left for a few minutes so I could take a picture of her treasures.
This is my little garden.
Those are all sunflowers in the middle.
I like a whole bunch blooming together.
Hot peppers.
I forgot to keep the tag.
Green peppers.
This is an almond bush. The smell is amazing, I can smell it across the yard when it's in bloom.
Just make sure to plant it in an open or out of the way space. It grows huge and wild.
A butterfly bush.

I grew sunflowers for the first time this year and they did not dissapoint, can't wait to see yours.

This is the wonder if living in the south...sigh. I pulled all of my planters up in the porch for a chance to dry out.With this cold wet spring I am afraid they aren't looking very pretty
Sue...I so enjoyed looking at all the photos from your trip. Montana is beautiful...no wonder you want to "retire" there. And, the Farm Chicks Show looks like a no-misser...maybe next year...and can visit my brother-in-law and wife in Spokane, too.

I have never heard of an almond bush and may have to look for that one on my next nursery trip. My mom has a huge wild space backyard, that it would probably work in.
Sue your garden looks wonderful and the picture you got of the eggs in the nest is so pretty. Is it a mockingbird? She will be fierce once they are hatched. Ann
