Jack and a Table

Jack is always good for White Wednesday.
He likes to be close to Lola B.

I forgot the before again.
Why am I so bad about that?
Anyway, I can't remember where I got this little table and it's little.

I had it in the yard and realized it would fall apart out in the weather.
It was an earthy green, that I did like but now that I have my Annie Sloan Chalk paint I walk around the house looking for things to paint.

I LOVE THIS PAINT.  I was afraid to buy it because of the price.  But after I used it I don't know how I can go back to regular paint.
I'm sure I will for some things.

These are those old brown wooden spoons from the 60's or 70's.
I haven't finished them but I think I'm going to like them all shabbied up.

I have had this cactus for years. I found it on my walk one year and carried it home.
I think I have had it for about 10 years and it's never bloomed before.
It's beautiful!!
I'm linking with Kathleen at Faded Charm for White Wednesday..

And also Wow us Wednesday at Savy Sothern Style....thanks Kim!!
Enjoy your day my friends..

Flowers from Karen and Art Angels..

Look at these pretty flowers Karen gave me.
I just love the green and blue together.
Thank you sweety.
You are the best!!!
Can I tell?

Kathy and I went to Art Angels and gutted the booth.
We took some things and put new things in.
I love the cabinet.
It's in great shape.  I was tempted to paint it with Annie Sloan paint but I have enough to keep me busy for a while.

This is Kathy's work.  She put together these cute frames with the music sheets.
And she also redid the table with the vintage music sheets.
It's stunning!

We like benches...can you tell.
We are going to become the bench girls.

This is the cutest shelf.
Very well make.

I just love this look of the china plates and then the old vintage silver plate.

Kathy is shiny and I'm not...Chic and Shabby.

I love and eclectic mix of pretty plates.  I do this at home.
No matchy matchy for me!

So much you can do with these jars..
Show off all your collections.

Kathy's cute bird house she redid.

My vintage botanical prints are perfect in a garden room.

I love vintage books and the beautiful colors.
It's sad they will be going away with all these new Ipads and things.
I just don't see them in a vignette like this.

I hope you like it.  We are very happy with out space.  We have so much hunting and fixing it up for you!

My Five Dollar Table and Annie Sloan.......not together.

I paid $4.94 for this baby!
Even my hubby thought I did good...it's VERY heavy.
I can't find my before picture.
But trust me it was not very nice.
I have never stained anything in my life.
I didn nothing to the legs but clean them up..

I sanded for days....not knowing when to stop.

Then I opened the stain I bought at a garage sale.
I should have taken a picture of that. The top was all rusted.
It was Minwax Wood Finish in Dark Walnut 2716...

Again had no clew what I was doing.
Just dipped the brush and started brushing it on.
Sooooo dark and I'm a white girl.  I then put Minwax Paste Finishing wax on it.

But I liked it!!!

I'm trying to show you how dark it is.
I love the contrast of the light cream and sugar bowls my mother painted a long time ago.
She's gone now but she would be so proud that I use them everyday.
If she were still here I would have her locked in a room painting roses on everything.
I didn't realize how wonderful she painted.
I never told her..it makes me sad.

The imperfections make it perfect!!!

Yesterday I went to an Antique Mall in Tavares Florida that I heard sold Annie Sloan paint.
I should have taken pictures of the shop.
They are closing but are moving to Mt Dora and opening up another shop, High Falootin Mercantile.
I think this is going to be awesome.
The lady's~Denna, Lou and Ellen have been so nice.
I'm just figuring this all out.
It was a great mall.
I can't believe I didn't know about them.
I don't go to far from home.  As you can tell.

Tavares Antique Mall gave me this great bag...

And look how the wrapped them up for me.
So thoughtful..
I had a very difficult time deciding what color to buy.

When he opened this I knew!
I love turquoise and this is perfect.

Had to have this.

I already have the dark wax so this was all I needed to get started.
Why I bought the dark was before I bought the paint??
My friend Denise of The Rusty Gate was in Tampa at Robyn Story Designs shop and asked what she pick up for me.
That's another place I need to get to..
I knew I wanted to pick out the paint colors myself so I had her get just the wax.
Thanks Denise!!!

It's like getting a new doll.
I love to open a new can of paint and this Annie Sloan paint is amazing..worth every penny!!!
Just don't tell the hubby how much it cost..shhhhh
This is when I'm glad he doesn't read my blog..

Blogger is not being very nice.  I have a couple other pictures of frames that won't download.
Anyway..I'm painting a few of these old barn wood frames.
I had to stop painting last night because I didn't have enough light.
So I will finish today and show you later.
I'm off to our booth to do a big change.
I will try to remember to take pictures to show you that too.
Have a great day and if you are in Irene's path my prayers are with you.  She stayed away from us.
But it's not over yet.
Enjoy your day my friends!!

Life....

I love this.  I hope you can read it, I think you can click on it to make it bigger.
I enjoy reading about Sue's life on the farm.
I have a passion, I hope you do too.
If you don't have a passion life can be boring.
Do what you love and don't worry about what others do or think.
Have a good day my blogging friends.
