Trying to Blog

Trying to Blog...
Blogger won't let me post pictures, Google wants me to buy more space.   I don't get it.  Well, I guess I do, just don't want to pay for more space.  My computer knowledge is VERY limited.  I just keep plugging along pushing buttons when I don't understand and usually get through.
Do you pay Google for photo space?
I'm going to try one more time, I think I have one picture left to post.
Thanks for listening to me....
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Here come Christmas!!  I'm decorating different this year, put the tree in a new spot.
It's the smallest one I have ever had, I'm trying to be simple.  It's not easy!!
Tried again and failed...
Enjoyed your day my friends.
Tomorrow is our 26th wedding anniversary, pretty good.

hugs to you...xoxo

Blissful Whites Wednesday

I love these old chickens and roosters, only have a few. In the past few years I have slowed down on my collections, becoming very selective.

Here is my newest one.  I think they are from the 50's and 60's.
Some have holes on them but I don't know what they are for.

OK, the place mats are from the thrift store, bought at different times.  None over $2.00.
I LOVE old cloth napkins,  I guess this is where I have NOT slowed down, I'm not telling you how many I have.  Let's just say if ALL of you came for dinner everyone would have a pretty cloth napkin, no dinner plate but definitely a napkin.

I paid less then $5.00 for 8 dinner plates and 9 cups and saucer's.

I went to Saluda North Carolina last weekend with my daughter and her roommate.  They wanted to check out the area to decide if they want to move to there.  My Dad lives there, I took them so I could spend time with him.  More on that later.

Daddy has gotten rid of all the farm animals except this little pony.  I asked him what his name was....he said, I don't know?!!  What!!!  He's had him for 10years!!  My step mother has alzheimers so she can't tell us, so sad.  She took care of him for 45 years now he's taking care of her and doing a wonderful job.

This is Shambo, I call him Shampoo because he needs a bath real bad!!

He smiles at you!!!
I had so much fun getting his picture..

Look at those dreads,  can you see them?

This is Bailey, what a sweetheart.  Made me sad because it reminded me of my sweet Bailey.
This Bailey has the same sweet personality as my boy.
I miss him so much.

Bailey enjoying the sunshine..

Even though he is not white I couldn't leave him out.
Another sweet boy,  I'm so sorry I forgot his name.

Sweet old farm dogs..
They all need baths but are very happy.
Well taken care of and loved.

LOPPISLIV....

is a new blog I discovered.  So much inspiration!!

This is my living room(ignore the cord)
I want you to go to her blog and see her talent.
I always seem to like Swedish bloggers style.

I picked up the pillow case at Adjectives Market from Kitty's booth, Heart Vintage Design.

It's funny how when you have a booth or shop you have things you don't want to sell or hope it doesn't sell.  I was glad the tall candle holders didn't sell!
I think the tall thing in the middle is an old alabaster scale, missing the scale.

There's my sweet boy that I miss so much.
That's my oldest(30 now) looking cute in a new outfit.

I bought this Laura Ashley chair at the thrift about 15 years ago for $25.00.  I had the slipcover made from painters tarps.
I found 3 ticking pillows at an estate sale last weekend for $2 each, they are feather filled and just like new!!

I have had this rusty bird cage for a while now, also found at the thrift for $6.96.  I fill it with the roses I buy at Publix after I dry them.

Can you believe it's November?!!
I already pulled all the Halloween decorations, we just sort of blend into Thanksgiving decorations.
My thoughts and prayers are with all the people affected by Sandy.  It could have been Florida, I think it would have ripped us right off the North American continent, we would be all in pieces floating in the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean..
Take care my blogging friends.
