What is it about old ladders?
I found or I should say my friend ~The Boston Lady~ saw this at an estate sale.
I didn't talk to her until after she left the sale. I think she felt guilty because she didn't call me when she found it.
So I raced to the sale.
It was still there.
I loved it at first sight.
It's a sturdy thing for being so old.

I snatch this baby up.
Oh...I also want to show you the blackberries growing on my fence.
As you can see they are not ripe yet. Well, they will be eaten by the birds real soon.
I did manage to try one and it was very good. I planted this plant last year. I guess I won't be making jam with them. That's OK, I like the birds eating them.

I love your old ladder, it reminds me of my experience with growing gourds. Heheh. I made a wonderful trellis with two ladders and a few weathered boards that I assumed the gourds would grow up on and intertwine in the rungs. I bet those seeds were having a great laugh on me as when they took of and start to grow they didn't stop. They did grow up the ladder and then back down and totally took over the back yard. I mean a huge back yard full of vines. Out of the whole shebang I probably got 7 great gourds but when the vines began to wither and wilt they smelled like mold and I just had to rip the whole (shebang) out.
Just thought you might enjoy that little story. I love your little ladder. Oh yes, I took the time to paint the old ladders and make little vines with flowers all over them. Oh well, I kept the gourds the ladders and the rest went to the recycle bins.
