Dinner with good friends!

Our daughters are graduating from high school this year. They have been friends since 1st grade. Jan, on the left, did this for us. She was the girl scout leader. I had three and they all were the best. I just did what I was told and that's the way I like it.

Kathy's, 2nd from right, daughter is my daughters best friend. What a great friend to have, she is who I call and tell when I get something good at the Thrift. She gets it. She calls me too.

Lori, on right, is my bff! She is the first person I met on my street 18 years ago this month. I was pregnant with my last and her first was 6 months old sitting on the sidewalk. She is 9 years younger then me, gorgous, thin and fit. I'm not and she still likes me.
The couple in the background are the owners of the restaurant. It was kind of a private thing. And they were so gracious to us.

We think we still all look the same.

I sure wish The Boston Lady was there. She was one of my other girl scout leaders.


Thank you lady's. I had a blast.

Flowers for my friend and his family

My friend from high school died on Monday.These are for him and his family.

I still live in the same zip code as when I went to high school. My girls have all gone to my high school. There are a lot of us still in this area. It's a strange feeling sometimes because I can't believe it's been 40 years since I graduated from high school.

I feel this is old Orlando before Disney.

He was on a cruise with his wife from high school and my old boyfriend and his wife. They few to LAX and where cruising the Panama Canal. He became very sick on board so they took him to the hospital in Panama. This was a few weeks ago. She stayed with him and the rest continued the cruise. Thinking everything would be ok. It wasn't. She has been there all this time by herself. Staying in a hotel. Only able to see him for 2 hours each day. Now my old boyfriend and my x husband have flown down to help her get him back. I'm telling you all this so you know how connected we all are. Some of you might not think we are still young but I do.

My thoughts and prayers are with them.

This is Katie's birthday twin. She is also my friend. I wanted to wish her a very happy birthday.

She was Katie's brownie leader since kindergarten. So she has been in our lives a long time.

21! I can't believe it. My middle girl is 21.

I just love her so much and am so proud of her.

She is beautiful, smart, kind and fun.

Katie is a junior in college and has just changed her major from engineering to physical therapy. Her Dad is an engineer and wasn't too happy with this, oh well, it's Katies life and she can do what ever she wants and will.

Katie have a wonderful day today and know that Mommy and Daddy love you so very much.

Tabubea Tree

Have you seen these trees?They take your breath away.

This year has been amazing.

I think it's because of the cold weather we have had.

I want one. After they finish blooming you wouldn't even take a second look at the tree.

When the sky is blue it's even more amazing.

I wait for this every year. I transplanted this plant 3 times before I found a good home for it.

The Shuttle!

We live close to the airport so I'm use to hearing the planes take off. But this was different, I thought my windows were going to blow out. I ran outside in my too short PJ's and saw the trail of the shuttle taking off. It was amazing! I followed the trail to see the shuttle. I have been here ever since the rockets started taking off and it still amazes me. I watch and say a little prayer for the men and women up there.

Now I'm off to work.
