Ring Ring....

...Hello...Hi there, how are you?

First, this vintage phone, remember dialing the number?  Well some of us do, you either had to remember the number in your brain or write it down in an address book!!
This phone saved us during the 3 big hurricanes a few years ago.  It worked because it had a cord.
I did drop my land line, that was a little sad because I had that phone number for a long time.  But nobody would get up to answer the phone anymore because we all had our own cell phone and knew it wasn't for them or even me.  So I let it go and I haven't thought about until now.
What will it be like 100 years from now, I guess none of us will know.
This is an old kitchen cabinet from the 50's I love.
I do like roses you know.

I'm always picking up sweet sugar bowls at garage sales.
I move them around and use them for silverware sometimes or even sugar!

I like this platter rack, I seem to collect old gravy boats.

This is what I found last week at the other thrift store I don't go to because I never find anything.
Ha Ha

I was thrilled with this!
The silver platter will be used at weddings to hold the champagne glasses for the first toast.  Because Kathy and I are starting our own Vintage Wedding  and Rental busness real soon!
The pretty runner has a few stains but I can get them out, I'm getting pretty good at that.
The straw hat is small for a child or someone with a small head.
Anyhooo, that's it for today.
I'm off to St Cloud with my sister to visit Vintage Soul and House of Evny!
Thank you for visiting me.  I do love your comments!!
xoxo

I love vintage pieces like this. If I had the space I would bring all the pretty teacups home with me! I can't wait to hear more about this rental business!

Oh, I remember the hours I would spend on our rotary dial phone, gossiping with my girlfriends. I've been wanting to get one, and I will soon. Great finds, too!

I have several really old rotary phones and I can still remember all my childhood friend's phone numbers. I can't remember how old I am without subtracting, but those numbers are etched in my mind.

Your new wedding venture sounds like fun!

I have an almond yellow rotary phone. I remember using them as a kid and also having a party line. I like your gravy boats too. Visiting from Junker Newbie. I have the owl post if you want to take a peek

I love all your goodies but the dishes are my favorite. I am such a 'dish nut' and those are very pretty.

YES! I remember those phones. Out on the farm we had a party line with 4 other neighbor families. We still had it when I was in high school in the 70's but by then 3 of the families had dropped off and gotten private lines so it was Debbie's parents and my parents on the party line. Can you even imagine that in todays world? Makes me chuckle. I'm thinking you should write a blog on how you get stains out. I could use a lesson in that department. Ohhhh, and I so want to visit Vintage Soul. It is on my list when I come down to see my cousin in Ocala. Have a great weekend!

Yes I remember, took "forever" to dial the number ;) Your collection of sugar bowls and saucers are wonderful. Exciting to hear about your wedding business, when will you launch it? I am sure it will be a success.
