OK... the first Thrifty Things Friday over At The Thrifty Groove.
Linda at A La Carte has retired from linking waiting for that grandbaby.
I think she wants to spend time with this new baby.
Can you blame her.
I guess it's ok...
Thanks Linda!
I found this lamp, I'm not sure if it's alabaster or marble. It's very heavy.
I love the lines.
It's in pretty good condition. Only a small chip on the base.
I already had this old wicker shade that I was saving for the right lamp.
I'm really into the white thing.
And this is where I put it. I like it! There's only one thing wrong.
IT DOESN'T WORK!
She said it worked.
Oh well, I will fix it.
I still like it.
$8.00!
I also want to show you what I did in the foyer.
I went all over the house and found anything botanical and grouped them together.
I really like it.
This is the table to put keys on or if you have 3-4 huge college books you can drop them here, and she does!
Happy Friday!

Hi Sue!
That white wicker shade looks good on the marble base, good deal $8.
Love your new blog look!
Enjoy the weekend,
Maureen
For $8 it is worth either fixing it yourself or having it fixed. I'm sure a pretty lamp like that, with the awesome wicker shade, would cost a small fortune to buy new!
I love the foyer decor. What a great idea to find like items around the house to use!
My mother had a set of lamps like this. She bought them with green stamps in the 1950's.
The lamp looks great and that shade is awesome! You can make it work! hugs, Linda
Oh, that lamp is amazing! I would have bought it as well even if I was told it didn't work. I know you will be able to replace the wiring and turn it into a a working lamp pretty easily. And that lampshade is so pretty! What a perfect fit! Great finds! And I love the way you did your foyer! All the botanicals look really lovely grouped together! Thank you for joining my first TTF party! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
I love the wicker shade.
I think the lamp is very cool....love the wicker shade, your right they work perfectly together. I am your newest follower, looking forward to more new found treasures! Diane
I love the lamp! I have never seen a marble one. Your house is darling, I want that long white mirror in your grouping...To die for!

I think you made a very good find! Lezlee
Hi KarenSue,
I like what you´ve done in your foyer. Very pretty. Love botanical prints.
I have been looking at your earlier posts below. I think you are fenomenal in finding good deals! Love the blue/turqoise bed and chair amongst all the other lovely things you´ve found lately.
Have a great day,
Sanna
Would be worth going to see what it would cost to have the lamp rewired....or else use it as a candle holder.
Great price either way.
x
Carole
