We live close to the airport so I'm use to hearing the planes take off. But this was different, I thought my windows were going to blow out. I ran outside in my too short PJ's and saw the trail of the shuttle taking off. It was amazing! I followed the trail to see the shuttle. I have been here ever since the rockets started taking off and it still amazes me. I watch and say a little prayer for the men and women up there.
Now I'm off to work.

Very cool! And, what a great way to start a Monday!!
I will miss seeing them launch AND hearing the sonic booms when they land! We are lucky to be able to experience the shuttle excitement so easily. I used to be able to see the night launches all the way over on the west coast of FL if the weather was clear.
That really would be an awesome sight!
