Jury Duty and Jack!

Do you like Jury Duty?  I'm sorry I don't.  When I receive this I worry about it, then I forget about it.  Then I find the notice in a pile of papers and that feeling comes back again.

I try to have some kind of excuse to mail in. I use to use my small children but they grew up on me.
I'm waiting for the grand kids so I can use them.  I will be their babysitter!

I didn't send anything in this year and as the date got closer I wish I had.
I could have called in Friday night but I didn't want it to ruin my weekend if I had to go. As long as I didn't know I still might not have to go.
So I waited until 5pm Sunday night.  I listen to the recording just like they said. And finally they said 1 thru 756 has to report.  My number was 1145!  Now I'm happy.  I have served before and will again. I just didn't want to do it now.

And now for Jack.  Can you see the pink?  He ate some red berries, not real ones. Katie was all upset he might get sick.

He's back this morning and seems find.  She had a final so he's on the back of the sofa looking for her to return.
Happy Monday to all of blogland!
Don't forget to stop and breath during this holiday season.
ps. Jack does stay here almost everyday while Katie works and goes to school.  Does he qualify as taking care of doggie grand kids?  They don't know Jack is a dog!  Maybe?  But they just might do a home imspection, do they do that?

Some Christmas decorations around the house.

I thought I would show you a few decorations I have done this year.
I love these little vintage deer.
That's me with Santa!
I do believe.

I love my tree this year. I put all the hand made ornaments the kids made and the pictures with Santa at the bottom of the tree. I like the way they look hanging together.

I keep this enamel pitcher filled with water for the tree.

I bought this last year at a garage sale from a women down the street. It's a beautiful cross stitch all in white.
I don't understand why you would put so much time into something and then sell it in your garage sale for a dollar.

I really like old scales. This is a simple decoration but I like it.

I bought this at the Thrift and covered it with snow.

I like how it turned out. I like wreaths, I would have a lot more if storing them wasn't so difficult.
I hope everyone is enjoy this holiday season!
Have a wonderful Monday.

Junkin finds Friday!

I found the frame at a garage sale that I wish I had gotten there first. I was there late in the afternoon and just could imagine what they had in the morning.
The tin fits perfect! I found that at the thrift store. The star garland is German glitter and I found 2 at the thrift.

This Santa's face is so cute, not a very good picture of him. Found him at my friends estate sale to die for.

I love this sparkly slay with my bottle nose tree in it.

I love the way this candle holder looks like a church.

OK, you can't see this very well but it's my Anthro banner that I splurged on a couple years ago. I tried to wait until it went on sale, never happened! So I had to wait a whole year and buy it when they first came out.
I love it!

Junkin finds Friday
I'm linking this with Junkin finds Friday. So hop on over and see all the good stuff! Thank you Linda!
Enjoy your Friday!
Just 2 more weeks until Christmas and I have done no shopping. I think I will panic now.
ps. Check out my good friends blog, The Boston Lady and see what she did for me!

Thrifty Thursday at Bloggeritaville! I love this!

Hello bloggers! I have not been very good about blogging this week.  A whole lot has been going on with an open house at the shop, a wine party with friends and then a Mary Kay party 3 nights in a row!
But I couldn't miss Thrifty Thursday. I did manage to get to the thrift this week.
This I got at an estate sale from a friend who use to live just around the corner.
She has the best stuff!  I keep it filled with water to water the tree twice a day.
I think it looks good sitting by the tree.

I also got this from my friend! Isn't it beautiful?!  It's about 8x10  and perfect, Bailey and Jack like it.
I have gotten more picky about what I buy. It's funny how your taste changes with time and thrifting. I can get on a kick about something and the next thing I know I have a million of something that I don't have a real use for.

I was leaving this little thrift store I stop at about once a week and this was outside. I didn't see it when I walked in. I think it's awesome and will be going to Montana with me for the front porch.
The weather is nice and cool here in Florida so we finally get to use our gloves, scarves and hats.  But they will all be pulled off by the middle of the day.
I hope you all enjoy your Thrifty Thursday!
Don't forget to hop on over to Bloggeritaville and see all the good stuff.

Thrifty Thursday at Bloggeritaville!

I did very well this week at the thrift.
I love this family photo, they are now hanging in my living room for Christmas.

I love this stool and yes it was $1.91!

I don't do alot of souvenirs but I do like pre Disney from Florida.

I really bought it for the frame. But how can anyone throw out old family photo's?

This is cool. I will add chains and make a planter out of it.

The boys. We had my brother in law and sister in law staying here for Thanksgiving and they brought Brando.  He is a Sweet, Bailey is old and has trouble with these young guys. Jack is my daughter's baby.
All are very sweet dogs.

A little peek at my tree.
I think I see some empty branches!
I will have to fix that.

So head on over and browse around at other great Thrift Store finds!
Enjoy your day and thank you for visiting me. I really do enjoy your comments!
Hugs to you.

OPEN HOUSE DEC 2ND AT ART ANGELS!

We are getting all fixed up for our Christmas open house tomorrow.  Lots of fluffing going on around here with everyone getting all the Christmas decorations out.
Everyone is invited to stop by anytime between 12noon and 7pm for a little cheer and some shopping. A lot of sales going on, Kathy and I are having 20% off in our booth Chic and Shabby.  Just so you know Kathy and I will be there from about 4pm until 7pm so we hope you stop by and say hello and see what we have spending our time doing.
On another note, I have not had a computer for 3 days and it's been very difficult. It just tells me how much blogging means to me.  I missed keeping up with all my favorite blogs and it's so difficult to catch up. I'm sure I missed a lot!
And I'm having a girlfriend wine party on friday night, this is with my best friend Lori. Bring wine to share and we also ask for a monatary donation that we put all together and then draw a name and that person gives the donation to a charity of their choice. It's a lot of fun.
You can come to my wine party to!
Have happy evening.
ps. I'm not doing spell check this time because I have so much trouble with it.  So I hope I didn't make any mistakes. Don't tell me if I did.
