My garage sale finds

I did pretty good this weekend.
Went to a few rummage sales and garage sales, this is what I came up with.
I love these coasters. I have some state trays but not Florida. I'm on the hunt now.

1953 Joy of Cooking.
The year I was born so I might be keeping this one.
I always love to find the folding rulers.

I liked the color of this jewelry box.
I thought this little lamp was unusual.
The cowboy trivet will be going to Montana.

I liked the inside of the jewelry box.
It had a few trinkets inside.

My favorite!
An old manicure set.
I love the bottles and they are glass.

Old garland with lights.
This is from a church rummage sale so I trusted them when it said on the package it works.
After all it's a church!

A 2 tier wire basket that's got a little bit of rust on it and that's the way I like it.
An old shabby frame.
I love vintage bird prints and I liked the frame to the bunny print, I might shabby the frame and take out the bunnies

An old enamel ladle.
See it in the background.

Can someone please tell me what this thing is?
I like galvanized things.

Hope you are having a nice Sunday.
We are, it's finally getting a little cooler here in Central Florida.
Hugs to all!

Just some things I would like to show you

This is a bunch of treasures I have around my house and other things.

My long time friend gave me this scale, it was her grandmothers.

I won this scale in a giveaway!

I love white enamel!

I found these place mats at Goodwill, there was only 4 and I'm looking for at least 2 more.

These rocks came in the large glass jar. I didn't realize the had a pretty smell until I pulled them out.
I think the rocks are fake but I like the way they look.

This is above my piano that no one in my house can play.
I change this a lot.
The barn wood frame has pages from an old song book.
My Mom painted the little night light.
I have a lot of things she did.
She has been gone 16 years now.

I love old books!
The yellow one is a 1952 French dictionary.

Me and my beautiful girls!
I'm so proud of all of them.
They are very different.

A star fruit from the house next doors tree.
I tried one for the first time.
Very fresh tasting.

I love this green jar. I had never seen one before.

I'm into funnels and old silver tops.
Why? I don't know.

Kathy and I found this last week in someones trash while we were out junking.
Not sure what I will do with it, maybe chicken wire.
Have any ideas?
Let me know.
Enjoy your day blogging friends!

Chaps!

We didn't have time to eat at Chaps but we did get to stop for a few minutes because I wanted to see the new Cakes.

I went inside to look around and bought some wonderful cookies for the 4 hour drive to Lakeside Montana.

I'm so shy about taking pictures. I need to get over that.
Remember when Serena called out to blog land to send in old pictures of cakes. I sent in a picture of me in 1954 with my 1st birthday cake and was wondering if they did anything with it. Celeste was busy upstairs and I couldn't wait. I'm sure she would have been happy to tell me. She is so sweet. I have met her twice and she remembered me.
So if you are in Spokane you need to try to stop at Chaps. It's very easy to get there from the airport.

I'm off to work.
Everyone have themself a wonderful Wednesday!
Love my Blog friends!
