A Little Easter Decorating

I just liked this bunnies face.
My Mom painted these eggs a long time ago.

She has been gone for 16 years now and I just can't believe it.

I will do a post on her china painting sometime.

It's all over my house.

I think this little guy looks real.

I had to put him in a cage because my kitty kept running off with him in her mouth.

She got another one and tore it apart.

I just think he is so cute.

Look what I did with one of my barn wood frames. I get so much inspiration from you bloggers out there.

I had this old song book that the pages had fallen out of.
And placed them in the frames.


I love the color of the old pages.

They are very fragile. They almost crumble if you touch them.

I chose old familiar songs.

I don't sing or play the piano.

I sure wish I did.

I'm very pleased with myself.

Thirft Store and Garage Sale finds

Barn wood frames!

In Orlando Florida!

You don't see much of this here but you never know.

I just love the texture.

And they are all different.

I also like old metal frames and vintage dishes.

I'm not sure what the hook was for.

Sometimes I say I want all white dishes and then I come across things like this.

I think these have something to do with fishing. Maybe weights?

I hung them on the wall and put pictures up that had long string on the back so these show at the top of the picture. I'm sorry I didn't take pictures because I think it look great.

Flowers for my blogging friends! I bought these at the grocery store for you yesterday.

I think they are so pretty.
So I thought I would make Black-Eyed pea salad for you today.
I always forget something. I forgot the cilantro. A big hand full of cilantro chopped up and mixed in at the end. Don't forget that like I did.

I use about 1/4 red onion chopped.

1/4 cup olive oil and the juice of a lime. Sometimes I use the bottled lime juice if that's all I have. It works just fine.

Mix really well.

3 cans drained Black Eyed peas.

A chopped English Cuke. I will use regular ones also. But I do seed them.

1 chopped jalapeno.

4-5 chopped Roma tomatoes. Or what ever you have.

Mix all together and pour the lime juice over salad.

This makes a lot. We eat it all weekend.

It's lite but very tasty.

3 cans Black Eye peas

4-5 tomatoes

1 English cucumber

1/4 red onion

hand full chopped cilantro-don't forget like I do

1/4 cup olive oil

juice of 1 lime

Sometimes I add black beans.

Just a few photo's of the things I potted yesterday. See the clover? I bought that at Publix(grocery store) yesterday. I'm trying to put more white in my garden.
Not a very good shot but this is the sweetest little flower. I have no idea what it is. I seem to do that alot. I don't keep the name tags and then`I forget what they are and where I got them. That's ok, I just buy what I like.


I love this pot. I don't know how much longer it will last. The bottom is almost gone.

This is what I got yesterday at the thrift store. The copper pot was 40 percent off the $4.94.

The trays are $1.91 each. I will use them under plants.

I'm off to strength training class. I'm trying. My hubby is on a fruit for breakfast diet to loose 10 lbs in 1 week. And he will do it. I think he's trying to encourage me. Maybe it does!

I also have to say how much I enjoy reading your blogs. I get so much from all of you. You really make my day. Thank you so much. And it really makes my day when I get comments from you, so thank you for that!

I just love Sandra Bullock. I think she is the next Meryl Streep.

My hubby didn't want to watch this, he thought it was going to be just stupid. So while he was out of the room I bought it on HD. Well, you should have seen the little turned up smile he had. I will be seeing this one again.

I just received this from Tracey at French Larkspur. I can't read the words but I can look at the pictures for hours.

I feel this is real home decorating. I can copy this in my own way. So much inspiration.
